Yes, we may be "all one" on the ultimate level, but there is also the way this one-ness manifests in the form of human relationships. We may be most at ease in solitude or afraid of being alone. We have friends who delight us and those who drive us crazy, or perhaps a string of lovers who would be perfect "if only." We might be a contented crowd-pleaser or a committed lone wolf.

How lucky are those fortunate few who are equally open, relaxed, and at ease whether they're alone, with another, or in a group. The rest of us muddle through the world opening and closing, loving and leaving, relishing and resisting. As Rumi said, we may love our "teacup talks with God" but relationship is where the rubber meets the road of spirit in action.

This weekend will use the 5Rhythms movement practice, a cathartic form of ecstatic moving meditation, to dance around and through those tight spots that keep us from falling in love with ourselves, and with each other.
