A long time favorite with 5Rhythms students because of the good value and space. Offers studios and one or two bedroom suites with kitchens. ADA accessible studios available. Rooms are like apartments. Rates include significant breakfast daily. Coin-operated laundry, fitness room, pool and spa.

SPECIAL RATES FOR AUGUST INTENSIVE WORKSHOP:

Marin Suites Hotel is the easiest option as it is about 3 miles from the workshop. Most people stay here so it becomes a workshop “camp” within a workshop. These are beautiful furnished apartments with kitchen areas, and we’ve arranged a special rate for our participants. The 1 bedroom suites can hold 1 - 6 people depending on how crowded you want to be. The 2 bedroom suites hold 1 - 8 people.  All reservations must be made by the cut-off date of July 10, 2012.

The daily rates are:

Studio Suite/One Bed                         $    99.00

One Bedroom Suite/One Bed             $  109.00

One bedroom (two double beds) with sofa bed in living room          $  129.00 (this price is for up to 4 people*)

Two bedroom (one queen bed and 2 double beds) with sofa bed in living room         $  149.00 (this price is for up to 6 people*)

*Add $10.00 extra for each additional person

This rate includes a continental breakfast including breakfast breads/pastries, fruit, hot and cold cereals, waffles, and coffee, teas, and juices.  You will also have access to complimentary high speed internet, fitness center, salt water pool, whirlpool, sauna, on-site laundry, and beautiful outdoor sanctuary.

The special rate is available from August 10 through August 19.  This price does not include a 12% occupancy tax.  When calling for a reservation, say that you are with The Moving Center School.  fDon’t wait too long to make a reservation.  Cancellations will be accepted up to 30 days prior to check-in date.

Marin Suites is 3 miles from the workshop site in Larkspur, so sharing a rental car is recommended.  It is also an easy bicycle ride and there is relatively convenient bus service.

These suites are conveniently located a short walk from shopping malls, grocery stores, a health food store, and a movie theater. There is a great heated outdoor swimming pool in a large courtyard with lots of trees and vegetation.  There is an exercise room and dry sauna.

Larkspur Hotel (415) 332-5700, 160 Shoreline Avenue, Mill Valley. This is a nice, clean, basic motel, with decent sized rooms, coffee-maker, etc. Prices range from $106 - $326 and includes continental breakfast.

Fountain Motel (415) 332-1732, 155 Shoreline Avenue, Mill Valley. This is very basic accommodations, color TV with cable service, no other amenities. $49 single/$55 double. Rates are higher in the summer. Some kitchenettes are available.

Acqua Hotel (415) 380-0400, 555 Redwood Highway, Mill Valley. A new, fancy, boutique hotel very close to the freeway. All the rooms face away from the freeway and have beautiful views of the bay and Mt Tamalpias. Rooms are $175 per night on the weekends.

Mill Valley Inn (800) 595-2100, 165 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley. A beautiful B&B located in the center of Mill Valley, surrounded by shops and restaurants. Rooms range from $145-235 weekdays, $10 more per night on weekends.

Extended Stay Deluxe – San Rafael (415) 451-1887, 1775 Francisco Blvd. East, San Rafael, CA 94901. srf@extendedstay.com Rates are lower the longer the guest stays. Complete with fully equipped kitchens in all guest rooms, flat panel televisions and DVD players, pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center, and laundry facilities on-site. Gourmet Deluxe Coffee Bar served Monday thru Friday mornings. Reservations can be booked online on the attached link or they can call us directly and receive a 5% discount.

Courtyard Marriott (415) 925-1800, 2500 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur. A nicely appointed hotel next to the Larkspur Landing ferry terminal and shopping center with stores and restaurants. Weekdays $139 per night, weekends $149 per night single or double.

Corte Madera Inn (415) 924-1502, Highway 101 at Corte Madera Blvd., Corte Madera. Near the Marin Suites hotel and across from a mall with nice shops and restaurants. $89 single/$99 double, includes continental breakfast.

The Lodge at Tiburon (415) 435-3133, 1651 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon. Located in a lovely little town for those who like strolling among shops along the water. $119 single/$134 double.

Hostels

There are 2 hostels in San Francisco and 1 hostel in the Marin Headlands which is located in a beautiful national recreation area near Mill Valley. By car, San Francisco is about 30-45 minutes from the workshop; the Marin Headlands hostel is also about 15 minutes from the workshop. There is a limit of 7 days at each hostel. There are buses from San Francisco to the workshop site, but not from the Marin Headlands hostel.

Studio in Fairfax    
Cozy Fairfax studio available by the day, week or month. It is a short walk to downtown Fairfax yet very quiet and in the trees. The unit is in the rear of my home with a seperate entrace,its own full kitchen with gas stove and hardwood floors and a full bathroom with a tub. It is furnished simply and is a 20 minute drive to MIll Valley.  By the day it is $30, by the week $180,by the month $800.  You can also get a car for an additional $20 per day or less by the week or month. Informal Bed and Breakfasts

Rents a room and provides breakfast for $85.00 per night. Room has two twin beds. Another available room has double beds. There is a weekly rate of $500.00 which includes access to the kitchen and laundryroom. She lives in the hills above Mill Valley and you would need a car to get to the workshop site.
