Drop-In Sessions

The 5Rhythms is a vast, dynamic practice. Regular classes offer different teachings from the 5Rhythms, so that over time you can develop a personal, integrated understanding of the practice as a whole. A class might be your weekly meditation, or a place you drop into once in awhile to freshen your relationship to the 5Rhythms practice.

Different teachers have different personalities and teaching styles, and in any class the teacher will be responding to the energy in the room. So some classes include structured exercises, while others may guide you through a wave of uninterrupted movement. Some include lots of time for talking and processing, others do not. A class might provide a general introduction to the 5Rhythms practice, explore a given theme through the 5Rhythm Wave, or focus on a particular aspect of just one rhythm. Whether you dance an entire Wave or spend a whole class investigating one part of it, each class gives you a new experience of this practice.

While a single class can introduce you to the 5Rhythms (or breathe some new life back into your personal practice), regular attendance has great benefits. For many of us, weekly classes are a beautiful form of self-care: part of an ongoing dialogue with self and others, or a hearty helping of soul food to nourish us through the week. Over time, classes will help you get intimately acquainted with many aspects of the 5Rhythms practice.
